Dendreon CorporationVaccine Development ScientistDendreon Corporation is a publicly held biotechnology company developing therapeutic vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and small molecule candidates for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. We are seeking a Scientist to work in our Vaccine Development Group. This person will be involved in development of processes for isolation and culture of autologous antigen presenting cell based therapeutic cancer vaccines. The individual may also be engaged in assay development and product characterization. Responsibilities include design and execution of experiments, collection, analysis and presentation of data. The individual will be involved in transfer of process from research into development and from development into manufacturing. Some supervision of technical staff may also be necessary. Requires a PhD in immunology/cell biology or related field, completion of a post-doc and 0-2 years industry experience. Previous experience working with human mononuclear cells in an institutional/industrial setting would be an asset. The individual must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, a capacity to meet timelines and an ability to excel in a team environment.
