Seattle Genetics also has an active drug discovery effort. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Seattle Genetics seeks an experienced process scientist to join our team focused on development of antibody-drug conjugates. This position involves optimizing the conjugation of small molecule to antibodies, optimization of purification methods, process scale-up, and tech transfer to contract manufacturers. Interaction with other scientific groups, including chemistry, bioprocess development, biochemistry, and analytical chemistry is essential. REQUIREMENTS: Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry or engineering with 3+ years experience in biotech or the pharmaceutical industry. A demonstrated expertise in protein chemistry, purification, and structural analysis, along with good written and oral communication skills are essential. Expertise in protein formulation is a plus. Must have a proven track record showing innovation, analytical thinking, and an ability to multi-task. Experience with external partners or contract manufacturing organizations is a plus.
