Xcyte Therapies, Inc.GMP Manufacturing Facility ManagerXcyte Therapies, Inc., a Seattle-based biotechnology company, is developing and commercializing novel cell-based or cellular therapeutic products that harness the power of the immune system to treat cancer and many infectious diseases. Manage the construction activities for building renovation of a 40,000 ft2 GMP manufacturing facility for cell-based therapies, including HEPA-filtered clean rooms, QC laboratories, offices and controlled warehouse space. Manage the daily facility requirements for the completed GMP manufacturing facility. Perform "on call" responsibilities; trouble shoot and repair equipment failures; act as a liaison for Facilities in prioritizing workloads with other departments. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Must be able to work different shifts with no direct supervision. Qualified candidates will have a successful record in supervising multi-shift operations, with a minimum of 5 years experience in the areas of engineering or facilities maintenance, and in the Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Three years of which must have been in a maintenance position within a GMP manufacturing environment. Completion of Mechanical Trade School curriculum combined with 2-3 years practical experience or journeyman level proficiency within a craft preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
