Research Associate I/II

Xcyte Therapies, Inc., a Seattle-based biotechnology company, is developing and commercializing novel cell-based or cellular therapeutic products that harness the power of the immune system to treat cancer and many infectious diseases.

As a member of the process development group, primary responsibilities include aseptic handling and processing of human cells in support of process development programs. Will assist in the initiation and revision of documentation and maintenance of equipment and facilities used for cell processing. Will assist teams from Research, GMP Operations, and Clinical Affairs in order to optimize and validate new processes and procedures.

Requirements include BS/BA in a biological science and 2+ years laboratory experience, including cell culture/processing and aseptic technique. Effective organizational and communication skills as well as attention to detail are a must. Knowledge of cGMP and the use of closed system cell processing equipment (e.g., sterile connecting devices, cell expansion bioreactors and/or bag systems) preferred.
