This position provides a challenging opportunity to be responsible for hands-on production of financial statements, working with federal grants and pharmaceutical contracts and dealing with day-to-day accounting operations and reporting. This position supervises five employees within the Accounting Department. The individual makes recommendations concerning long range strategic planning, but is not responsible for the planning. Must have strong decision making and independent judgment skills. Experience in federal funding, health care, research, not-for-profit, Navision, and public accounting are highly valued. Advanced Excel skills and ability to use report writing software required. Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, possess professional accreditation such as a CMA or CPA, 7 years of progressive accounting experience and at least one year of supervisory experience.
