Product & Market Manager, Defibrillators

We currently have an opportunity for a Product & Market Manager (Defibrillators). The Product & Market Manager (Defibrillators) will have full responsibility for leading the product development and product/brand management process for Defibrillators. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for managing OEM and partner relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans for the sale of defibrillators to the selected medical care markets. Apply classic marketing practices to develop marketing plans and programs which will result in greater demand for our products.
  • Develop business, product development and launch plans for assigned products. Manage the introduction of new products/product enhancements including monitoring clinical trials, field trials, sales/service training, trade show training, promotional approaches/materials, sales support materials and presentation techniques. Propose product changes, enhancements, discontinuations and new products.
  • Lead the product development process and conduct appropriate market research. Draft product specifications, monitor progress of development projects and their adherence to specified goals and resolve questions of priority.
  • Work closely with sales management and marketing communications to develop technical content for marketing collaterals, including brochures, manuals, fliers and the web.
  • Develop and communicate competitive information. Monitor and report on competition and recommend and carry out appropriate actions and plans to complete effectively. Prepare and keep up-to-date product comparisons and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of competition.
  • Gather and act on information on product reliability. Assist Manufacturing and Quality in identifying, prioritizing and addressing product problems.
  • Keep management informed in a timely fashion of all significant news relating to the product line.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, with minimum of 5 years experience in medical device marketing.
  • Clinical experience a plus.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Sales experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex network of relationships both inside and outside the company.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of initiative, self starter.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
